Charlotte Thielen is the founder and owner of Math Solutions Tutoring & Consulting, where she is dedicated to helping students develop the confidence and mathematical foundation they need to achieve long-term success. She holds a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and brings more than 21 years of experience teaching mathematics and science in the classroom.
Charlotte has been recognized by the State of Texas as a Master Teacher, a distinction that places her among the top 5% of educators in Texas. This designation reflects her commitment to instructional excellence, student achievement, and educational leadership.
Throughout her career, Charlotte has recognized that every student learns differently. As both an educator and a parent, she understands that many students need individualized instruction that addresses their unique strengths, learning styles, and areas for growth — something that can be difficult to provide in a traditional classroom. This realization inspired her to create Math Solutions Tutoring & Consulting with the mission of developing personalized learning plans that build strong mathematical foundations and help students reach their full potential.
Charlotte has extensive experience designing mathematics curriculum from 3rd grade through Pre-Calculus, with an emphasis on developing the foundational skills students need for long-term success. She has also spent the past five years teaching online courses in mathematics, including elementary and middle school math, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Physics, and SAT math preparation.
In addition to working directly with students, Charlotte partners with educators and school leaders by providing professional development focused on data-driven instruction, effective classroom practices, and strategies that improve student achievement. She has helped schools use assessment data to create targeted instructional plans that support mathematical growth for every learner.
Charlotte has been married to her husband, PJ, for 27 years, and together they have one son, Pete. Her passion for education — combined with decades of classroom experience, curriculum development, and instructional leadership — continues to drive her commitment to helping students build confidence, master mathematics, and discover that success is possible with the right guidance and support.
